SANDY JONES - STEPPING INTO THE LIGHT
15 May 2019 - 14 June 2019
Before Sandy Jones became what some consider to be one of the greatest carpet designers, she modelled for Mary Quant and styled sets for Ridley Scott. Sandy's passion for textiles led her to enrol in a Textiles and Embroidery course at the London College of Fashion at the beginning of the nineties. She fell into carpet design when one of her drawings was sitting in her husband's office (Interior Designer Chester Jones) and a client thought it would make a good carpet.
Sandy has not looked back since her first meeting with Shahbaz Afridi in 1997 and we are delighted to be exhibiting her carpets, designs and archival material and to continue to work with her through her sons, Ben and Toby, in designing and producing carpets.
